Love them! Love them! Love them!
I started going to Tidewater Trail 2 years ago. I am a breeder and I’m very, very particular about the care that my dogs receive, but at the same time I have to be very aware of the cost of that care.
When I move, I have a list of tests/visits that my puppies or pregnant bitches may need and I call vets in the area to find out if they can provide the services and the cost. When I called Tidewater, the front desk staff was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and most of all, patient!!! They had to talk to the doctor about one test I asked about and called me back within the hour.
At one visit, Dr. Greg came in and sat on the floor to give my big, goofy, lovable Rottweiler a belly rub and some “stranger love”. When’s the last time you’re vet did that???
I have since left the Fredericksburg area and moved to Martinsburg, WV. I have called several vets in the area and have even taken my girl to one of them but, I continue to drive the 2 ½ hours it takes me to get back to Tidewater Trail.
Last night, I took my 7 month old puppy to the emergency veterinarian and was told he had Parvo (and yes, he is up to date on his shots). All I could afford there was IV fluids and antibiotics and had to take him home. I left home at 5:30 this morning headed for, yep, you guessed it Tidewater Trail. I called ahead and left a voicemail. When I arrived a little before opening, they were waiting for me. Their estimate for 5 days of care was only a little more than I paid at the ER for the fluids and antibiotics.
Did I mention I love them! If you want the BEST care for your pets/family members, you have to go to Tidewater Trail.
BTW, praying for my pup, he’s still very sick.
